My Latest Stash!!!!

Well I have been soo busy recently, both with work and at the yard with the lambs!  I inherited another poorly lamb last weekend and I am hoping we are through the critical point and he is coming through the other side.  We put off naming him until he was able to stand, so he is now named Elliot!

Anyway, back to my crafting.  I have just bought my Christmas dies from the new release from Sue Wilson.  There are some really nice dies in there and I particularly like to snow globe, which I think might be one of my favourites.  There is also some cardstock and a couple of stamps - I really like the cottage stamp.

Here are some photo's of my latest stash.

I have so treated myself this month!!!!  I buy most of my dies from a company called SET Craft who are based in Pembrokeshire and they are always very competitively priced and very quick with their delivery.

I have refused to make Christmas cards before July, so not long to wait now!  I will be back soon with some sample cards with the above.

Will catch up soon.

Lilac Birthday WIshes

Just a very quick visit this week as am still bottle feeding my lambs, so they are keeping me very busy!

Last week was a very special friend's birthday, so of course I needed to make a special card.  So I decided to go back to my plain and simple roots!

I did it in one of my favourite colours, lilac.  I used pearlised card as really like the sheen on this cardstock.

What do you think??

The recipe for this card is as follows:

Sue Wilson Dies - New Zealand Collection Background die
Coconut White foundation cardstock
Lilac pearlised cardstock from my own stash
Creative Expressions Elegant Stamps
CE self adhesive pearls
Ribbon from my own stash
Cosmic Shimmer Frosty Heather embossing powder

Anyway, that's all from me for now

With love and best wishes

Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow

This is a similar card that I made a few weeks back and I ran in a recent class, and they really loved it!

I started by cutting lilac (foundation cardstock) and some pearlescent white cardstock layers with the pierced squares.  In the top white layer I cut the Bellin Butterfly Collage die and then on a piece of coconut white foundation card I used the Inkylicious inkdusters to apply some pastel inks.  This was then placed underneath the top layer.  To finish the card I used the Sue Wilson  Daisy Cluster die cut in the pearlescent card twice and placed the lilac flowers underneath to give a contrast.  To finish it off I used a sentiment from the Pierced Flags sentiment set.

I hope you like it!

Look forward to catching up with you again soon.

Visible Image cards

Well today's post is something a little different, but I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed doing these cards.

I recently purchased some stamps from Visible Image as I absolutely love some of their sayings/quotes.  I decided to mix these up a bit with the pixie powders as I really need a bit more practice using them.  Well I got all messy and really enjoyed myself!

This is the first card I made. I used the purple violet and peacock green Pixie Powders, with the 'Live in the Moment' stamp set.  I heat embossed with Creative Expressions black detail embossing powder.

The second card I used the sun yellow and scarlet mist Pixie Powders and the 'Vision Inkognito Set' again by Visible Image.  Once again I heat embossed with Creative Expressions black detail embossing powder.

On both cards I used the Sue Wilson Pierced Squares for my mats and layers, and I thought the black set off the embossed areas really nicely.

It is a shame that you cannot see the shimmer from the Pixie Powders and the texture from the embossing powder, as they really do look impressive, even if I say so myself!

I think I might find myself doing more work with the pixie powders as you can get so many different effects with them.  Watch this space!

Until next time, take care and please feel free to leave a comment when you visit my page.
