Thank You

This is a stamped card but I do like it and really like the colour scheme.  The stamp set is by Stampin' Up! and was always one of my favourites.  Unfortunately I cannot remember what the stamp set is called so please feel free to let me know if you know what it is!  The stamp is one that builds up and it really does a good dimension to the flower.

The cardstock was the blackberry bliss which was also one of my favourites, and I had a good supply of this when I gave up being a SU demo!  I used some burlap from my stash which finishes it off in quite a rustic way.

Another card that is winging its way to Wales!

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my blog, until next time . . . . . . .

love and crafty hugs

Motorcycles!

For this card I have used an old (and retired I think!) Stampin' Up! stamp which is of a motorcycle.  Obviously a mans card and a stamp that is really useful!

I used a white card base and layered up with black and an olive green cardstock, and then hand tore the top layer of white card.  I stamped the motorcycle and heat embossed it in black and then painted elements of the motorcycle with a watercolour pen.  Lastly I used bakers twine to pull the layers together.

Another very simple card and not overly fussy, which for a man is ideal.

I used the following on this card

Black, olive and white cardstock
Stampin' Up! Motorcycle stamp
Black embossing powder
Watercolour pen
Bakers twine

I hope you like this and until next time

Something Simple

A nice simple card today, which looks lovely in cream and pale green.  We have made this several times in class and its always popular.  Nice and simple and people always love the butterfly!

You can't really tell from the photograph but the butterfly wings sit up from the card as they flutter.

I used:

6" x 6" card
Cream cardstock
Pale green cardstock
Memory Box Chloe Butterfly die
Stampin' Up! sentiment

That's all for now, until next time

Lovin' the colour!

I think this one has to be one of my most favourite cards to date!   I absolutely love the Periwinkle Foundations Cardstock and sadly the photo doesn't really do it justice.  I think I may need to make a box for this card too, so that will be tomorrow nights job.

I made it for a lady that works for me who is leaving next week due to ill health.  She has worked for Reading Association for the Blind for a long time so wanted to do something special for her ;-)

Items I used are as follows:

Foundations cardstock coconut white and periwinkle
Dies by Sue Wilson - Pierced Squares
Dies by Sue Wilson - Blossoming Branch
Dies by Sue Wilson - Scalloped Lattice Bar
Dies by Sue Wilson - Delicate Daisies Open Petals
Dies by Sue Wilson - Delicate Daisies Complete Petals
Pearls from stock
Sentiment by Stampin' Up!

Take care!
