Butterflies all the way!

This card really was very simple.  I used a new stamp set by Chloe Endean.  It comes with a matching die, but for this card I just used the stamp.

I stamped it in black and then used my aqua sparkle pens in pink and purple, and then matted and layered up with a Happy Birthday stamp.  This one actually looks better in real life than it does in the photograph!

The second card I made I used the die without the stamp!

As you can see I used a very simple patterned cardstock and then offset this with a plain border.

A few pearls and I decided to leave it at that as it looked really pretty!

I hope you like the cards and will be back soon with some more of the cards that have found them at my son-in laws shop!

Until then, I hope you have all survived storm Doris and got to stay home and enjoy your crafting!

A little bit of inkylicious

I have two takes on this card where I used the Inkylicious Aspen Leaves, aqua pens and sparkle pens, with a little bit of gloss accents thrown in!

For this card I stamped lots of leaves using the Aspen Leaves stamp and then coloured them in using the Spectrum Noir Aqua pens.  I initially put the ink from the pens onto my craft sheet and then applied the colour with a paint brush.  I really like the way you can apply the colour gently and build it up to add shading.  On some of the leaves I put a covering of sparkle using the clear sparkle pens. I hand cut the leaves out and then applied glossy accents, which is not overly visible from the photo I'm afraid, but it gives the impression of rain drops!

The second card is using the same leaves, but this time with a different sentiment, this time using a Visible Image stamp from the 'This is me' stamp set.

I love the simplicity of these cards and they were incredibly easy to make, so you may see some more of these being featured in the future.

Thanks for dropping into my blog and please feel free to comment.

With love and best wishes

Baby Girl

Well I am back, this time with my love of cards!

My son-in-law and daughter have recently opened a convenience store called Slates in Menai Bridge (North Wales) so I have been busy making cards for them to sell so should have lots to share with you over the coming weeks.  I have tried to make lots of variety and even managed a baby card - which is a first for me!

I used dies and stamps from the Sara Davies' Signature Little Angel collection and absolutely loved the gentle giraffe!  I used the Creative Expressions Real Checkerboard embossing folder to add a little extra detail to the back of the card, and then kept it really simple using pink cardstock for the baby die.

Clean and simple which is just how I like it, so just have to hope someone else likes it enough to buy it!

Until next time, love and crafty hugs

For this card I used the following:

Sara Signature Little Angels collection - Gentle Giraffe
Sara Signature Little Angels collection - Beautiful Baby Die
Sara Signature Little Angels collection - paper pad
Creative Expressions foundation cardstock
CE Regal Checkerboard embossing folder

Felting!

I have been absent from my blog yet again, but have been really busy.  There has been lots going on both at home and work, so today decided that I would share some bits that we have been doing at work - and that is felting!

I work as the Manager at Reading Association for the Blind and twice a week we run craft clubs for our sight impaired members.  I have a wonderful craft tutor who thinks up some amazing activities for our members and a few weeks ago they made felt which she subsequently made into a variety of items from brooches to some little purses.  I know our members are really excited that we are making wonderful items from their hard work!

I am sure you will agree that they are beautiful and they look far better in the flesh than they do in the photographs!

I hope you have enjoyed me sharing something a little different, and I will be back to cardmaking soon!
