Pixie Powders

I'm afraid it has been a while since I have updated my blog.  The problem is there has been so much going on that I have gotten a bit bogged down.  I now have 9 lambs to bottle feed and a friend has been poorly so I have been looking after her horse too, as well as work getting in the way.

I am pleased however that I have managed to get some time to take part in some craft classes and a couple of weeks ago I was lucky enough to take part in a workshop with John Lockwood.

I had a great time playing with the new Cosmic Shimmer Pixie Powders and the Sue Wilson dies, which are a real favourite with me.

Anyway, this is the card I produced and I love the colours and the look can be changed so easily by changing the sentiment and colour!

A bit of short and sweet from me, but hope you like the card.

Take care, until next time

Demo Day with Julia & John - 9th January 2016

Had a really busy few weeks - just before my birthday hubby and I went away for the weekend and just happened, in passing (!) to drop in on Julia Watts who was holding a sale and demo day, who was very ably helped out by John Lockwood.

They did some fantastic demo's and as per normal they did some amazing sample.

I hope you are getting ready for photo overload ;-)

This is one of my favourites!

And this one ;-)

And so is this!

And this one too!

Well that's all for now, but will catch up soon.

Until next time,

Workshop with John Lockwood

I thought it would be nice to include some of the cards I have made earlier in the year at some workshops.  Back in October I attended a class with John Lockwood which was hosted by the Crafting for Pleasure group in Bristol, run by Bev Mizen and I had a fantastic day.

These are the cards we made on that day.

For this card we used:
  • Sue Wilson Classic Poinsettia die
  • Colour cloud - basil leaf, lemon meringue and frosty jade
  • CE Double sided adhesive sheets
  • Sue Wilson pierced squares
  • Cosmic Shimmer Diamond Snow (I think!)
  • Blue white American Seam Binding coloured with Colour Cloud basil leaf
  • Pearls

We then went on to make another card - it was great to not be doing another Christmas card!!

For this card we used:

  • Sue Wilson Pierced Squares
  • Sue Wilson Heraldic Square
  • Sue Wilson Charming Lace Trim Configuration Die
  • Sue Wilson Foldover Flower Diagonal
  • Cardstock - coconut white, peach and white
  • Embossing folder - can't remember which one!
  • Sue Wilson Stamps to Die For - Regal Blossom inner & outer stamp
  • White felt & black twine
I had a lot of fun making this card but I did find it had a lot of different elements which took me quite a while to put together.  Here are a couple of close ups to show more of the detail.

I hope you have enjoyed sharing the cards I have done so far - I know I have enjoyed doing them!

Until next time
