Lovin' the colour!

I think this one has to be one of my most favourite cards to date!   I absolutely love the Periwinkle Foundations Cardstock and sadly the photo doesn't really do it justice.  I think I may need to make a box for this card too, so that will be tomorrow nights job.

I made it for a lady that works for me who is leaving next week due to ill health.  She has worked for Reading Association for the Blind for a long time so wanted to do something special for her ;-)

Items I used are as follows:

Foundations cardstock coconut white and periwinkle
Dies by Sue Wilson - Pierced Squares
Dies by Sue Wilson - Blossoming Branch
Dies by Sue Wilson - Scalloped Lattice Bar
Dies by Sue Wilson - Delicate Daisies Open Petals
Dies by Sue Wilson - Delicate Daisies Complete Petals
Pearls from stock
Sentiment by Stampin' Up!

Take care!

New Dies!

Today sees the launch of the new dies from Sue Wilson - I have to say I have fallen in love with all of her dies and have had the pleasure of working with some of her design team.  I have learnt so much in the last few month.

Sue has kicked off her blog with the Australian Collection and a beautiful card http://particraft.blogspot.co.uk/2016/01/2016-die-release-launch-australian.html?m=1

I have ordered a couple of dies but there are just too many to choose from, so I have to behave myself and limit what I want.  Am hoping they will drop through my door tomorrow morning ;-)

Anyway, have to dash to the vets to pick up the dogs prescription!

Card Class - 23rd January 2016

On Saturday afternoon I held a craft class at work for some of our volunteers.  We made a couple of cards, but will have to share some of the photos at a later date as they were valentines cards!

For the following cards we used pearlescent card with foundations coconut white cardstock, with the Sue Wilson Pierced Squares,  New York Collection Herald Square and the Pierced Flags, with the sentiment from the Daisy Chain Elements by John Lockwood stamp set.

I am absolutely loving the Sue Wilson products.  There are some more out next week and I have treated myself to a couple  will update with some more photos once I have had time to play with them.

Until then!

Demo Day with Julia & John - 9th January 2016

Had a really busy few weeks - just before my birthday hubby and I went away for the weekend and just happened, in passing (!) to drop in on Julia Watts who was holding a sale and demo day, who was very ably helped out by John Lockwood.

They did some fantastic demo's and as per normal they did some amazing sample.

I hope you are getting ready for photo overload ;-)

This is one of my favourites!

And this one ;-)

And so is this!

And this one too!

Well that's all for now, but will catch up soon.

Until next time,

Hubby's Birthday Card

I couldn't resist posting this one - for the first time ever hubby made me a birthday card!

Am so proud of him!  After spending the day with me earlier in January at Julia Watts' sale day and watching her and John Lockwood doing demo's, he really didn't have a choice!!

I think he did a pretty good job considering he had no idea what he was doing.

More Christmas Cards & Projects with Julia Watts

I have also attended a couple of workshops in Yardley Gobion near Milton Keynes, with Julia Watts.  Once again I have had a fantastic time and I have learnt so many new techniques which have been outside of my comfort zone, but I do so love learning new things!

Anyway, here are a sample of the cards and projects we have made.

Workshop with John Lockwood

I thought it would be nice to include some of the cards I have made earlier in the year at some workshops.  Back in October I attended a class with John Lockwood which was hosted by the Crafting for Pleasure group in Bristol, run by Bev Mizen and I had a fantastic day.

These are the cards we made on that day.

For this card we used:
  • Sue Wilson Classic Poinsettia die
  • Colour cloud - basil leaf, lemon meringue and frosty jade
  • CE Double sided adhesive sheets
  • Sue Wilson pierced squares
  • Cosmic Shimmer Diamond Snow (I think!)
  • Blue white American Seam Binding coloured with Colour Cloud basil leaf
  • Pearls

We then went on to make another card - it was great to not be doing another Christmas card!!

For this card we used:

  • Sue Wilson Pierced Squares
  • Sue Wilson Heraldic Square
  • Sue Wilson Charming Lace Trim Configuration Die
  • Sue Wilson Foldover Flower Diagonal
  • Cardstock - coconut white, peach and white
  • Embossing folder - can't remember which one!
  • Sue Wilson Stamps to Die For - Regal Blossom inner & outer stamp
  • White felt & black twine
I had a lot of fun making this card but I did find it had a lot of different elements which took me quite a while to put together.  Here are a couple of close ups to show more of the detail.

I hope you have enjoyed sharing the cards I have done so far - I know I have enjoyed doing them!

Until next time
